Soft developmental book: a miracle on every page

A developmental book for a child is a wonderful project that will bring joy and benefit to any baby! Please your children with this book or make a wonderful present for a future or young mother. We will tell you in detail how to sew a development book with your own hands and provide you with a pattern of the main details.

Developmental book: choice of materials and options for execution

The easiest way is to sew a development book of felt and materials whose edge does not fall off (fleece, some furniture fabrics, suede, leather, etc.). This eliminates the need to overcast the edge of the parts, which will save a lot of time. However, most of these materials are plain, so we recommend adding at least a few backgrounds and fabric details with a pattern to enliven the book.

If you will use a thin fabric, reinforce it with additional non-woven fabric. The pages of the book should be sufficiently dense, so each of them will require a layer of reinforcing material. It can be a bortovka or tarpaulin, and even thin plastic, if your machine can cope with its sewing.

For fastening removable elements, we used Velcro. It can also be sewn or punch buttons and magnets. The clasp of the book can be done on a buckle, magnet or carabiner.

There are several ways to bind a development book. We will tell you how to sew a book binding from fabric - this is the easiest, although not the fastest way. You can, for example, install eyelets on each page and connect them together with special rings that are sold in scrapbooking departments. This binding will subsequently add new pages to the book.

Draw a sketch of your book in advance and think about what accessories you will use. If you are writing a book for a very small child (under 3 years old), avoid small details. For example, in our book, on the page with the seasons, instead of making several small circles with leaves or snow, you can make the tree crown as one big detail.

Pages with a clock and a game of tic-tac-toe are also designed for a child older than 3 years. In order to plan your own pages, we recommend using the Internet, where you will find many options for designing a book by words such as “Developing book” or “quite book”.

So, let's sew a developmental book for a child with our own hands!

Pattern and cutting

Print the pattern on sheet A4. Cut out the details.

Our book has a size of 15x20 cm in order to use half of an A4 felt sheet as a background for 1 page. Cut 6 background details and 2 cover details without allowances. Cut out the reinforcing parts: 1st on each sheet if using plastic or another dense material or 1st on each page if using a thinner seal.

Please note that all elements must be indented from the edge of 1cm, for subsequent edging!

Page "Seasons"

Cut the outline of the tree from brown felt of arbitrary shape by fitting it into the outline of the page. The width of the tree trunk is 2 cm. For the same picture, cut two 6x20 cm rectangles for pockets. Cut three circles A, one circle B and one part C from four different materials: light green, dark green, white and orange (spring, summer, winter and autumn).

For spring foliage, cut several white circles of different sizes, maximum 1 cm in diameter. For summer foliage - a few red apples or other fruits, if desired. For the sun, cut one circle A and one circle D from bright yellow material. You can also cut the moon or cloud from the appropriate materials.

For each part (except wood and pockets), make an exact copy of it from additional material to which Velcro will be sewn. These lower parts can be of different colors to save material and recycle scrap.

Cut out the soles of the shoes using a cut out pattern. For the second sole, turn the pattern inverted. Then cut the toe and cut the inner oval, cut the resulting part in a straight line on the pattern. Cut out two mirrored “nose” shoes, adding 0.5 cm of allowance along the lower edge.

Cut the cut out part of the top of the shoes 4 times, reflecting them pairwise mirror, so that a two-sided part is obtained for the right and left shoes.

Cut 4 geometric shapes from the material of different colors (square, cross, triangle and circle D). In the background part, cut the shapes corresponding to the pattern, the cut out parts will become the basis for removable elements. At the top, cut the contour of the pocket with a zipper 1 cm wide. Cut a rectangle 15 cm wide and 30 cm long from a fabric that will be the background for details and the pocket lining, which is best contrasted with the main background of the page.

Draw a square with a side of 12 cm and draw a grid with 2x2 cm cells in it. Arbitrarily place geometric shapes (squares, stripes and polygons) on this grid, filling the entire plane. Cut out the shapes and with the help of this pattern, cut multi-colored parts, as well as the lower part of these parts from any material. Cut out a pocket - a rectangle of 6x15 cm.

For chips, cut 10 circles A from white material and 10 circles for the bottom of the chips of any color. You will also need 4 strips of suede 13 cm long, or you can just lay a line to outline the playing field. From red and black material, cut 5 crosses and 5 zeroes. You can also embroider these characters with a thick thread.

Cut 2 arrows out of white material and 2 arrows out of black. Trim the black arrows a bit so that a white edge peeks out when overlapping.

For the dial, cut 12 circles A out of white material and 12 circles out of dark (like gray) material. It is desirable to make the lower parts of the same color, since they will become the color of the numbers. Cut out a part for a pocket 5x15 cm.

For the front cover, cut 5 circles D from materials of different colors and textures. If desired, cut three pieces of a 7 cm colored ribbon.

For the top part of the binding, cut out a rectangle of 10x6-7 cm. For the inside of the binding, cut out a rectangle of 9x20 cm (for the same number of pages as in the example). If you are using friable material, add an allowance to the hem.

To tie, cut two 30 cm ribbons. For edging you will need a straight or oblique trim. You can use the finished pick-up in a width of 2 cm or cut out ribbons with a width of 3.5-4 cm and a length equal to the perimeter of the page.

  • Velcro 1 cm wide (about 30 cm white and black, can be the same color)
  • 15 cm zipper
  • Non-woven
  • Buttons, Beads
  • Threads, cords, ribbons
  • Eyelets

Page "Seasons"

Stitch red “apples” on dark green details. Stitch the Velcro squares (soft part) on the bottom circles. Connect the lower and upper part with a stitch along the contour.

Sew white “flowers” onto light green details by hand with a white thread. With a yellow thread on large "Flowers" embroider the middle. Stitch the Velcro squares (soft part) on the bottom circles. Connect the lower and upper part with a stitch along the contour.

Stitch the “winter” white circles with their lower parts on Velcro. Following the same principle, perform the details in the autumn gamut.

For the sun, cut out the rays on a larger circle, as shown in the photo. Sew Velcro to the bottom circle. Lay the part with the beams between the lower and upper part and sew along the contour of the upper circle.

Stitch the wood detail in the center of the page. Try on the foliage and sew the second halves of Velcro (stiffer, with hooks) in the right places. Also sew Velcro for the sun in the upper right corner.

Sew a buttonhole on the details of the pockets. Fold the parts so that you have a pocket with a flap and stitch along the sides of the page, with pockets on the sides of the barrel. The bottom edge of the pockets should be indented 1 cm from the edge! Sew on the buttons.

Where to begin

First you need to decide how you want to see the book. It is easier to carry out products of square or rectangular shape. Those who are not afraid of difficulties can be offered a circle, a triangle, and even a book in the shape of a butterfly or a flower.

If we talk about sizes, the best option is toys with a width of 20 cm and a length of 20-25 cm. Too large pages will tire children and scatter their attention, and small ones will not fit the necessary decorations.

Now about the thickness of homemade. As a rule, these are 8 pages, including 3 spreads and a cover. You can limit yourself to one, and the rest “to finish” as the crumbs grow older.

We select materials

To create a developing book, bright natural fabrics (silk, felt, chintz), yarn or fur trimmings and foam rubber, which will add volume to the product, are suitable.

It is not in vain that felt is popular among needlewomen: it is easy to hem and glue it, and the trimmed edges of the material do not sprinkle even with time.

You will also need sewing accessories:

  • Velcro, buttons, buttons on which decorative parts are attached,
  • beads, bells, large beads,
  • ribbons, braid, shoelaces,
  • threads of various thicknesses and needles.

Applications and figurines of characters can be purchased in specialized stores or made of fabric and cardboard.

Operating procedure

The principle of tailoring soft mini-books is always the same. Only the scenery and scenes change.

First, the pages are cut out of fabric (felt), then they are sewn up on three sides and filled with foam. It remains to sew the resulting pocket.

The cover is made according to the same algorithm with only one difference - when the pattern is left, a margin is left for the spine. Its width depends on the number and thickness of the pages. For the cover, the same felt is suitable, only doubled.

At the next stage, they begin to design. Harvested applications are sewn or fastened with Velcro depending on their purpose. Then everything is decorated with decoration materials - ribbons, bells, soft toys.

They complete the work by stitching a development book: first, a central turn, then the side. The pages are fastened with rings or laces.

Design Features

The most interesting work is creative. Making a book with your own hands, you can give free rein to imagination and create a unique masterpiece. But do not forget about the age characteristics of children.

If the baby is not yet a year old, he will like simple unpretentious pictures with contrasting colors. Especially kids love everything that rustles, pops, rings and rustles. For example, a pussy that can be pulled by a mustache, with a collar of beads and a bells on the tail. Or a bunny with a pocket on its tummy and fur legs in which candy wrappers rustle.

Books intended for children over one year old have different content. Their task is to form the necessary skills (fastening and unfastening snakes, buttons, Velcro, buttons), introduce basic concepts (color, size, shape, names of objects), bear a cognitive character (numbers and numbers, alphabet, seasons, animals, professions and other). All pages are united by one storyline, the main character of which becomes the kid himself or his favorite fairy-tale character.

For example, on one page the bear plays “crap” with the child, and on the other, it helps to learn the score.

How to make a developmental book for a child with their own hands.

I really want to talk about the developmental book that I made for my son Mikhail.

The idea appeared during pregnancy, but began to realize it when the son was two months old.

At the very beginning, everything was conceived as a rug consisting of 16 squares. Each square with its own plot. All subjects were worked out on paper:

  • what will be depicted
  • size and materials of parts,
  • possible actions that can be performed with some details,
  • what skills can be acquired
  • what tasks can be thought up.

I wanted to create didactic material for gaining knowledge and skills. I wanted the mat to be not only educational and educational, but also interesting at any age, as well as safe, convenient and mobile. I have reviewed many articles on the Internet on this topic - many thanks for the ideas!

When most of the fragments were created, it became clear that such a volume of information needed to be issued in portions so that attention was concentrated on a certain plot. In addition, a rigid base is required to perform actions on some parts. And the convenience of using a rug measuring 1.5 × 1.5 m was always in doubt.

It was at this moment that the developmental mat turned into a developmental book. As a result, on my first birthday the son received a wonderful gift - a developmental book.

DIY Baby Books

The author of the work: Shibanova Irina Ivanovna.

Work on the creation of a baby book is a very exciting activity that comprehensively affects the development of a child:

- contributes to the development of creativity of preschoolers,

- increases sensory sensitivity, that is, contributes to a subtle perception of form, texture, color,

- develops imagination, spatial thinking, general manual skill, fine motor skills,

- synchronizes the work of both hands,

- forms perseverance, the ability to plan work on the implementation of the plan, anticipate the result and achieve it, if necessary, make adjustments to the original plan,

In the course of creative activity, children make many discoveries, achieve personal achievements. The result obtained is the first and very important stage of children's creativity.

Material: colored cardboard, sheets of paper A4 format (different colors, old coloring books or children's magazines, glue stick, scissors.

Description of the process of making a baby book:

1. First we make the pages. To do this, take colored sheets of A4 paper folded in half (along) and cut along the fold line.

2. We grease the edge of the sheet with glue and glue it. Depending on the thickness of the book, such leaves may be 2-3-4.

3. A long sheet of paper is folded like an accordion.

4. Next, make the cover. To do this, you need colored cardboard. We measure the height and width of the resulting pages, cut the desired size and fold in half.

5. Coat the edges of the cover with glue and glue the pages prepared in advance.

6. Now we proceed to the design of the book. We come up with a name and write or paste on the cover.

7. Next, from old coloring books or children's magazines, we cut out appropriate-sized pictures, rhymes or riddles and paste them on the pages.

8. The little book is ready!

You can read this book yourself, or you can give it to a friend.

Other versions of baby books in which the pages can be braid.

I wish you good luck and creative success!

Plasticine "Fox and the Wolf" Our work. During sculpting, fine motor skills of the fingers, imagination develop, manual skills are formed, children learn to coordinate.

Now I’ll talk in detail about the book

The book consists of 12 sheets, two of which are the cover. On each sheet there are loops through which the lace is drawn. With the help of lacing, all sheets are attached to the cover. Such a connection allows you to parse the entire book into sheets (for example, if you need to distribute to several children).

The book closes with a clasp, which also serves as a carry handle.

The basis of each sheet of the book is a thin synthetic winterizer stretched on fiberboard 30 × 30 in size.

Each sheet of the book is made in such a way that there is a plot on one side of the sheet, and a picture with a number on the back. In addition to numbers, the pictures depict animals (bear, hares, kittens, ducklings, chickens, hedgehog, dog, dragonflies, mice), fruits, vegetables, objects (raspberries, carrots, pits, baskets, apples, watering can). Therefore, using such pictures, we study not only numbers. The son voices all the animals that are shown in the pictures, shows their body parts. Calls vegetables and fruits. We haven’t reached the bill yet.

All even numbers are sewn on material of one color, odd - on material of another color.

Each sheet is framed by a satin ribbon of its own color.

The sheets in the book are arranged in order to complicate the actions that the child can perform with each plot.

In the manufacture of the book, almost all of the material was found in the bins from relatives and friends, only satin ribbons, children's buttons, multi-colored threads, and fiberboard were bought.

The book was created in such a way that a child can play with it without adult supervision, and not just at home, so all the details are firmly attached to the pages of the book.

All protruding details - buttons, beads, sparkles - are sewn with strong nylon threads through the buttons that are on the inside. Such reinforcement was made so that they could not be uprooted.

All removable parts on long, durable threads are attached to the base of the page so that they do not get lost when playing.

Page "Lacing"

Pin the details with the grommets in the topmost layer and stitch along the contour with a straight line or zigzag (depending on the type of material used).

Page "Sorter"

Stitch geometric shapes in two parts, sew Velcro to the lower part in advance.

Sweep the zipper and reinforce the non-woven detail of the page lining.

Pin the lining to the page and sew along the contour of the cut out figures and the lower edge of the zipper. Sew on the center of the loop of Velcro.

Fold the lining down and chip along the sides to form a pocket lining.

At the level of 5-6 cm, wrap the fabric up again and pin it to the top edge of the page.

Sew along the sides and top of the zipper, as well as on the sides of the pocket itself, covering the sides of the pocket lining.

Puzzle page

Sew a square along the contour and sew Velcro in the center of each cell.

Follow the geometric shapes - the details of the puzzle. Sew Velcro to the bottom. Sew a few Velcro or one large on long parts.

Stitch the pocket along the bottom edge. If desired, decorate the pocket with eyelets and a lace with buttons and beads.

Page "Tic-Tac-Toe"

Stitch the lines of the playing field from suede lace or stitch with black thread. Sew two strips of Velcro on the top.

Sew tic tac toe on white chips.

Sew Velcro on the bottom, and sew the top and bottom on the edge.

Page "Clock"

Stitch the details of the arrows. Cut out the contours of numbers from 1 to 12 on twelve white circles. Sew Velcro to the lower parts, and sew the cut circles with numbers on top.

Step back from the top edge of 7.5 cm and sew the arrows in the center of the page, placing the smaller arrow on top. On the front side, thread the thread through a bead or button, and then reinsert the needle into the same hole. On the wrong side, thread the thread through a small flat button. This mount will allow the arrows to rotate.

Sew the Velcro for numbers in a circle.

Sew a pocket below.

On the back cover, draw an alphabet with chalk or soap and sew the letters along the contour with colored threads.

On the front cover, wash colored circles, and in the center a button with beads.

At the bottom, pin the colored ribbons folded with loops, and topstitch a piece of felt on top.

Fold pages in pairs and chop. Sew along the edge.

Prepare the trim. Fold the cut strips in half and iron. Then expand and lay the edges to the ironed midline and iron as well.

Expand the stitches and chip them with their sides inward with the edge of the pages. Start pinning the overcut from the middle of the long side of the page, from the side where the binding will be then - then the joint of the overlines will close.

Pin by aligning the edges of the hem and page to the very corner, then bend the hem at a right angle and continue on the other side.

Sew around the entire edge to the width of the fold of the edge (approx. 7 mm). Bring the line to the corner and, turning at 45 degrees, bring to the edge. Cut the threads and start stitching again near the corner.

Turn the tip to the other side of the page and, tucking it, pin it to the base. Sew the stitching manually with a blind seam, bending the corners to one side.

On the cover pages, insert a ribbon to tie around. Tie knots at the free ends of the tape. Stitching can be done if desired.

Take the rectangular inner binding detail (larger rectangle). If necessary, bend along the long sides. Pull back 6cm and chip with the second sheet of the book, placing the binding in the center of the page, covering the edges of the edges. Bind the edge of the page with binding, chip.

Sew and bend the binding to the front side, chip again.

Sew close to the edge of the page. Use the foot to sew the zipper.

Leave at least 3 cm from this page (if the page is very thick with protruding details - back more) and also attach the next page.

Now attach the cover to the binding without bending the fabric. Stitch and trim the excess.

Paste the upper binding onto the lower binding, covering the edges.

Sew with the bottom thread of the same color as the bottom page.

1 page

Two rows of pieces of fabrics of different textures are sewn on the page: silk, wool, flannel, chintz, etc. Pieces of fabric are sewn in one row from left to right, and vice versa in another. Most of the fabrics in one row are repeated in another, but in each row there are unpaired. Paired fabrics in rows are sewn with strips in one row along, in the other across, fabric in one face up, in another row - face down.

At the very beginning, the son simply leafed through the fabric. Then some fabrics were given “names”: dad's scarf, granny's sweater, Misha’s diaper. They began to look for certain fabrics in one row. Now we are looking for paired fabrics.

2 page

On the "Flower-Semitsvetik" page. The petals are made of a wide satin ribbon, the core is crocheted. Only the core is sewn on the flower, which is filled with padding polyester. Petals correspond to the colors of the rainbow, they can be pulled, you can twist.

3 page

The page shows a starry sky, in the center of which Velcro is attached either a full moon or a month. Both the moon and the month are connected with a satin ribbon to the center of the picture, this allows you to not lose details. Stars are made in different sizes and from different materials: two kinds of fabric, buttons, beads, sparkles.

Now the son is looking for the smallest, largest star, detaches and attaches the moon or month.

On the page is a small fragment of traffic - three cars and a traffic light. One of the cars is small - this is a purchased application.

In the lorry, a dog rides to the right. The car body is a pocket in which satin ribbons are hidden. Wooden beads are strung on ribbons: white, black, brown, round, oval, large, small. The wheels of the truck are made of pieces of linoleum, they rotate freely with buttons.

In a passenger car, a bear with balls and a calf ride to the left. The wheels are made of large wooden buttons, in which the middle is drilled, and they freely rotate on the buttons.

The front lights of these cars are buttons, the rear lights are embroidered with threads.

A traffic light is a piece of drape, part of which is sewn to the base of the picture, three buttons are sewn onto it. Another part allows you to open and close the buttons.

5 page

On the page is a house on the roof of which there is an attic window. Near the house is a wooden fence. The fence is made of a piece of straw napkins, tightly sewn to the base of the picture.

The house is filled with padding polyester and stitched - imitation of logs. In the center of the house is a large window with drop-down shutters. The shutters are fastened with Velcro. Behind the shutters is a curtain. If you move or lift the curtain, you can see the dog there. The attic window is made of a piece of linoleum. The window is sewn in one place to the base and rotates around the place of attachment. A mouse lurks in the attic. If you bend the edge of the roof, you can see the butterflies.

6 page

On the page is a boat. The stern of the boat is sewn to the base. Aft there are three windows - a porthole - made from a piece of linoleum. Each window is sewn in one place to the base and rotates around the place of attachment. Behind each porthole is its passenger - a bear, a dog, a bee. On the bow of the ship is an anchor, which is attached with Velcro. The anchor itself on a thick rope is an imitation of an anchor chain.

A bear is sewn at the stern - a purchase applique. The sail of the ship is sewn only with the bottom side to the base. The upper end of the sail is sewn to the satin ribbon in such a way that if you pull the ribbon down, the sail will go down; if you pull up, the sail will rise. A red flag is made in the same way. Other garland flags (other colors of the rainbow) are cut from a wide satin ribbon and sewn to the base with only one side.

Seagulls fly next to the ship - they are cut out of a wide satin ribbon and sewn to the base only with the body, and the wings are free. To prevent satin ribbons from opening, all edges are melted.

7 page

On the page is summer day. The sun shines brightly, the rays of the sun are not sewn.

Butterflies fly nearby (all butterflies on strong threads, which are fixed under one of the rays).

Butterflies fly over flowers (only hearts and stems are sewn on flowers).

Flowers grow on the banks of the pond, in which shells and fish swim. Shells are buttons, one sewn at the bottom right, the other at the top left.

Fish of two types: buttons and purchased appliqués. Buttons are sewn in different places and swim in different directions. Fish appliques on strong strings that are fixed at the bottom of the pond.

Butterflies and fish are attached with strong threads to the base so as not to get lost when playing.

Fish, flowers and butterflies of different colors. In the future, it is supposed to give tasks in the form of: “plant a red butterfly on a yellow flower,” or “put a green fish in a pond so that it swims to the right,” or “put a blue butterfly above a red one”.

On the lawn is an apple tree with ripe apples. Apples are made of buttons of two types and different colors.

Grass grows at the base of the tree trunk, in it there is a pocket in which the worm hides (the head of the worm is a bead, the body is woven of kapron threads. The worm is fastened on a strong thread in a pocket. A dragonfly sits on the crown of an apple tree, it has only a little body sewn on. Under a tree there is a basket with berries.

All buttons are sewn with durable threads through additional buttons that are on the wrong side (so as not to uproot).

8 page

On the page is a Christmas tree, under which are gifts. Gifts are tied with satin ribbons tied with a bow. Bows can be untied and train to tie them.

Christmas tree knitted from woolen threads of two colors. Christmas tree toys are children's buttons: a cat, a lion, a chicken, a steam locomotive, a frog, a duck, a shell, an elephant, a horse, a mushroom, a bear, stars of three colors. The son shows, names and voices all the toys.

A garland on a Christmas tree consists of beads of different diameters, colors and shapes, which are strung on a strong thread. Moreover, the beads are strung so that on each tier many are repeated, but there are also non-repeating ones. Beads move freely along strong threads.

So far, the son only moves the beads from side to side. In the future, we will look for paired and unpaired beads.

9 page

The page has a blue sky and three clouds. The dark cloud is thunderous, it rustles (inside cellophane). The cloud is sewn on only one side and rain (white and blue beads sewn on a transparent chiffon) and lightning (satin ribbon stitched in a certain shape) are hidden in it.

A blue cloud is sewn on one side and a hole is made under it where the sun is hiding. To hide the sun, you need to pull the ribbon, which is located at the top of the page. For the sun to peek out the clouds, you need to look at the cloud and pull the rays.

Behind a white cloud, in a special hole, a rainbow hid. The rainbow has its own ribbon, thanks to which the rainbow moves. A rainbow appears and hides, just like the sun.

10 page

There are four pockets on the page. All pockets have their own opening feature. To see what is in the first pocket, you need to bend the gum. A family hid in a pocket: mom, dad, son. The figures are made of threads and fastened in a pocket with a satin ribbon.

To see what is in the second pocket, you first need to unfasten two buttons, and then unfasten the Velcro. In the pocket was a bunny with bills. The abacus is made of wooden beads of three colors. The beads are strung on a strong thread, along which they move freely. The hare has a bow around its neck that can be untied and tied.

To see what is in the third pocket, you need to unzip. In a pocket in two opposite corners on multi-colored satin ribbons are strung multi-colored wooden beads.

While the son simply unzips, he takes out and removes the beads on the ribbons.

In the future, it is planned to give tasks of the form:

  • there is a large brown bead on the left of the green ribbon, and on the right is which bead on the green ribbon?
  • on the right is a large white bead on a red ribbon, and on which ribbon on the left is a large white button?
  • fold all the white buttons up and all the dark ones down
  • hide all the colored beads in your pocket.

To see what is in the fourth pocket, you need to press the button on the clip and push the clip along the cord.

In a pocket on a string are strung objects made of different materials: fabric, leather, rubber, wood, plastic, glass, iron.

The cover of the book also contains a lot of interesting things. On the inside of the cover, on one side, basic geometric shapes are sewn (circle, oval, rhombus, rectangle, trapezoid, square, triangle, parallelogram). They are made of different fabrics (silk, astrakhan fur, chintz, velvet, faux fur). The figures are sewn to the base at different angles in order to teach the child to determine the figures according to the main signs.

On the other side is the game. Two labyrinths are made of two different fabrics, it is necessary to move the beads that are inside the labyrinths.

There is a hidden pocket between the sides. Inside the pocket are hidden parts, on both sides of which letters are scribbled. The vowels are embroidered with red threads, the consonants with blue. From these letters you can make the first, main words: mom, dad, son, woman, grandfather and their names.

A zipped pocket is sewn on the front side of the cover. The initials of the son and the year the book was created are embroidered on the pocket. Inside this pocket is a double-sided puzzle. The puzzle consists of nine pieces, on both sides of each piece is a drawing. The edges of the parts are trimmed with different lines, suggesting which of the parts are external and which are internal.

Puzzle details and letters are the only parts in the book that are not attached. If you attach them, it will be very difficult to play with them. But to get them, you need to make little effort, and while the child is small, then he will not be able to do it on his own.

Master the score

For "mathematical" pages, prepare dense applications of numbers, and next to them attach elements that display their quantitative value (beads on a string, mushrooms, flowers). Make the figures removable so that the baby can attach them himself, given the number of objects depicted.

Meet the tales

Perform a central turn in the form of a fairy tale. Children more easily remember the text and storyline if they touch the heroes with their hands, independently rearrange them in the right place. This is due to the fact that preschoolers tend to visual-figurative and visual-effective thinking.

For example, the heroes of our fairy tale "Turnip" are hiding behind a strip of fabric with Velcro.

Example book for the smallest

On the first page there lives a bunny from fleece with a bow. His ears are filled with rustling candy wrappers and beads.

On the next page, the kids will find his garden. Carrots grow there, which can be collected in a basket made in the form of a pocket. Older children suggest counting vegetables.

On the second turn, a flower grows, where a bee lives, filled with buckwheat. It is attached to the ribbon. When the baby pulls the bee, its place in the flower is occupied by a caterpillar of beads connected to the same ribbon.

Nearby is a butterfly. But she is a secret. If you remove her body, which rests on an elastic band, it will turn into a chrysalis.

Turning the page, the child will meet with his favorite toys. This is a pyramid that teaches color and size, and a bear sleeping under the covers. Elements are fastened with flypapers and are easily amenable to children's fingers.

Covers are made in the theme of "Day - Night." This is a bright sun with ribbons-rays and a month. Asterisks on laces can be pulled in one direction or another.

When doing things for children, you invest in them a piece of yourself and inner heat. No toy purchased is more expensive than a created by a loving mother.
