Pesto sauce at home - a step by step recipe with photos
Cashew need to soak overnight or for a couple of hours. Everything was very urgent for me and I soaked it for half an hour maximum. I’m sure that if you don’t soak and use a powerful blender at all, everything will be fine.
Mix all the ingredients in a blender until a homogeneous paste.
Serve with spaghetti, rice or baked vegetables. Can be used as a vegan salad dressing.

What else can you make pesto sauce
These ingredients are basic to the sauce, and are found in the classic version - nothing more (except garlic). However, there are so many versions of this sauce, and if you like it more, you can:
- Prepare pesto from blue basil, different from green with more characteristic essential oils),
- add parsley or arugula,
- lemon juice
- or black pepper.
Also, in the classic version, add a small clove of garlic (without the "evil" kernel), but without garlic this sauce is simply the top of perfection. Also in the classic version, Pesto sauce is prepared using a marble mortar and a wooden pestle, however, it is perfectly acceptable to cook it using a conventional blender.
